History of ETSM SA

ETSM SA Etablissements Meier, specialising in precision mechanical sub-contracting, was formed by the merger of the Roger Meylan SA and Rectasev SA companies. Those two companies were incorporated in 1968 and 1980 respectively in Sévery. Both had been established since 1990 on the industrial estate at Apples.

Georges and Philippe Meier acquired these two companies on 1 January 1998. They modernised the machinery and enlarged the production floor space. Introduction of CAD and CAD-CAM stations optimised the machining and programming processes. In 2009, Georges, then aged 65, became less involved and handed his shareholding over to his son Philippe.

Thanks to the regular renewal of the installed CNC machinery, ETSM SA is now at the cutting edge of precision engineering and technology.

In 2014, the production site grew to more than 1500 m2, the factory was air-conditioned and the different departments now host more than 6 new production centres. Extension of the administrative service, which is to be completed in the spring of 2016, will allow management of planning and purchasing to secure early ISO certification.

ETSM SA has facilities for precision CNC machining with laser or mechanical engraving, turning, milling, profile-turning and plain universal centerless truing or honing.

We would like to thank our colleague and friend Mr. Jean-Paul Wulliens, who, after 40 years of dedicated service to ETSM, will soon begin his well-deserved retirement. We wish him all the best and congratulate him again on his many years of valuable collaboration.
